McCullough Peaks & Pryor Mountain Wild Horses

Horse Workshop Cost

The horse symbolizes freedom, spirit, strength, power, grace, beauty and the American West.

In 1971 Congress declared wild horses to be “living symbols of the historic and pioneer spirit of the West”. Horses are the projection of our dreams and they give us the capability of escaping to a different world whether we're riding them or just watching them.

Come join us as we celebrate the living legends and symbol of the American West, an animal that represents freedom, grace and strength to so many people - the horse and more specifically the  McCullough Peaks and Pryor Mountain Wild horses.

McCullough Peaks

We will spend 3 action packed days getting to know the behavior and social dynamics of the McCullough Peaks and Pryor Mountain horses as they go about their daily lives.

There are about 33,000 wild horses running free in the United States. Descended from animals brought over by the Spanish in the 1500s, they roam throughout public lands in western states like Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming, and Montana.

Workshop Photos

All workshops include photo assignments in the field, talks on technique, learning to use your camera functions correctly, and edit-and-critique sessions. We feel that the most effective way to develop skills is by taking the skills we talk about in class and going out in the field and practicing them until you’re comfortable with them. We try and tailor each workshop to fit the needs and desires of the individual participants. We limit the number of participants in each workshop so there is a lot of one on one time with the instructor(s).

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing and due to costs incurred by B Wood Photography in arranging photo workshops and acquiring the proper permits, deposits are non-refundable. A $400.00 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold your space. Full payment is required 120 days in advance. Cancellations after 120 days will receive a full refund if your spot can be filled from a waiting list or if you can fill your spot. We encourage all of our workshop participants to invest in trip cancellation insurance.

All B Wood Photography photo workshop participants must accept full responsibility for personal injury and/or personal losses during the period of the workshop. All participants will be required to sign a Workshop Liability Waiver stating that they are aware that the activities of the workshop present certain risks. This waiver will be forwarded to each participant once a deposit is made. If participants fail to sign and return this waiver, they will not be allowed to participate in the workshop.
